Cookie Policy

Last updated 23 October 2026 · Version 2026-10-23-draft-1

Draft. This page is being finalised before launch.

Cookies are small files that a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies include your browser’s local storage and the signals a page sends to an analytics service. This page lists what codingliquids.com uses; our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data generally.

Strictly necessary

These keep the site working and secure. They are always on, because sign-in, checkout and the course player cannot work without them, and the law does not require consent for them.

  • Sign-in session (__Host-session, set by us): keeps you signed in. It expires 30 days after your last visit, and in any case after 90 days, or when you sign out.
  • Sign-in protection (set by us): short-lived cookies that protect the email-link and Google sign-in steps against forgery. They last a few minutes.
  • Checkout reference (set by us): connects your browser to the order you have just placed, so that the welcome page can sign you in. It lasts up to 1 hour.
  • Cookie choice (set by us): remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics. It lasts 6 months.
  • Preferences (set by us, in local storage): settings such as player and display choices. They stay until you clear them.
  • Security check (Cloudflare Turnstile): runs on the sign-in form and on the Show phone number button to tell people from bots, and passes a single-use token to our server.
  • Cloudflare security cookies (set by Cloudflare, which hosts and protects the site): may be set to filter harmful traffic and to remember that your browser passed a security check, for example __cf_bm, which expires after 30 minutes of inactivity, or cf_clearance.

Analytics

  • Google Analytics (Google): the cookies _ga and _ga_<container-id>, which last up to 2 years. They count visits and show how people find and use the site.
    • In the EU, the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, a banner asks you first, with Accept and Reject equally easy to choose. Cookies are set only if you accept. If you reject, no Google Analytics cookies are set, but the page still sends Google basic signals without cookies or identifiers, such as the page visited and the time, which Google uses to estimate visit numbers.
    • Elsewhere, Google Analytics runs by default. You can object at any time through Cookie settings or with Google’s opt-out browser add-on.
  • Cloudflare Web Analytics (Cloudflare): counts page views everywhere without cookies or any identifier.

Advertising

We use no advertising cookies, such as the Meta Pixel or the Google Ads tag. If we ever add them, they will run only after consent where the law requires it, and this page will list them first.

At checkout and in the video player

  • Payment windows: when you click Buy now, the checkout window of our payment partner (where the checkout names it) or of Razorpay opens and sets its own cookies to process the payment, prevent fraud and keep the window secure. Nothing from them loads before that click, and their own cookie and privacy policies apply.
  • Video player: lessons and preview lessons play in an embedded player from our video host, bunny.net. It receives your IP address and basic device information in order to stream the video and may store playback settings in your browser. It shows no advertising.
  • Google sign-in: if you choose it, you are taken to Google’s own page, where Google’s cookies apply.

Changing your choice

Use the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page to accept, reject or change your choice at any time. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as an objection to analytics where the law requires. You can also delete cookies in your browser settings; the banner, or the default for your region, then returns on your next visit. Blocking strictly necessary cookies stops sign-in and the course player from working.

Cookies on Coding Liquids

We use Google Analytics to see which pages help people learn. It sets cookies only if you accept. Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits without cookies either way.

Your browser asks us not to track you (Global Privacy Control), so analytics stay off unless you accept here.
