Accessibility Statement
Draft. This page is being finalised before launch.
We want everyone to be able to learn with Coding Liquids, whatever device, browser or assistive technology they use.
Our standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA across codingliquids.com, including the course pages, the student area and the lesson pages.
What we do
- Captions on every lesson: every lesson has English captions, available in the player.
- Keyboard access: our pages, menus, forms and the player’s controls can be used with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator.
- Contrast: text and controls meet WCAG AA contrast ratios on our dark design.
- Reduced motion: if your device asks for reduced motion, decorative animation is switched off and transitions are kept to a minimum.
- Structure: headings, landmarks, a skip link, labelled form fields and text alternatives for meaningful images help screen-reader users find their way.
- Zoom and small screens: pages are designed for phones first and reflow when you zoom in, up to 400%.
- Text answers about lessons: students with instructor support can use Ask AI, which answers questions in text using the lesson’s transcript.
- No passwords: you sign in with an email link or with Google, so there is no password to remember or type.
Known limitations
- The video player and the payment windows come from our video host and our payment partners. We choose and configure them with accessibility in mind, but we cannot fix every issue inside them.
- Lessons have no separate audio description. The narration explains most on-screen steps, but a few visual details may not be spoken.
- Some captions are produced with speech-recognition software and may contain occasional errors.
- Captions are in English only for now.
- Certificate PDFs are not fully tagged for screen readers; the same details are on each certificate’s web page.
- Sign-in links expire within 15 minutes for security; you can ask for a new one at any time.
